FA Charter Standard
Colne Valley FC are pleased to announce that they have been awarded the FA Charter Standard for an Adult Club. The Garston based club are the first Adult Club in the Watford area and only the third in Hertfordshire to receive the Standard.
The nationally run FA Charter Standard Scheme is an award for best practice that sets standards for coaching and administration. As a benchmark for quality, it is designed to improve the playing experience for all.
Upon confirmation of the award being made Matt Day, the club's General Manager, had this to say: "It's fantastic to have the FA recognise the hard work and dedication of the management team and players alike at our club. Such an award gives those seeking to play for a club, a clear indication of which clubs are efficiently run with the right sort of support for the team."
Also commenting on the award Damian Owens, the club's Communications Director, said: "This is a great day for all involved with Valley and highlights the transformation that has taken place since splitting to become independent. Everyone involved in the club has a firm belief that there will be more days like this in the future."
